Purpose:
The Water Resources Cost Share Revolving
Fund (WRCSRF) was established by the Arkansas Water Resources Cost Share
Finance Act 257 of 1989. This Act authorizes the Arkansas Natural Resources
Commission to provide up to 25% of total project cost in grants
and loans to the State of Arkansas and its local political subdivisions
for the purpose of funding the non-federal share of their financial obligations
required under any local cooperative agreement entered into with the federal
government in connection with financing a water resources development project.
Types of Projects:
Construction, replacement, acquisition,
and ownership of facilities
Land and easement procurement
Improvements for developing and utilization
of water resources
Projects to supply quality water to
residents
Provide water for navigation
Provide recreational access to lakes
and streams
Reclaim, preserve and protect the state's
land resources
Protect the wealth of the state from
disastrous floods
Eligible Entities: (State
and local political subdivisions)
Cities
Towns
Counties
Improvement Districts
Public Facilities Boards
Regional Irrigation Water Distribution
Districts
Regional Development Authorities
Conservation Districts
Types of Assistance:
Grants
Loans
Deferred loans - up to 30 years or life
of the project, whichever is less.
